Day 1 : Machame camp
Drive to Machame Gate from Moshi. Then start trekking to Machame camp (2 990m)
Begin trekking through the thick forest of cahoutchouc, huge ferns and ficus. Little by little, by taking altitude the vegetation modifies until it is transformed into a forest of huge heather.

Day 2 : Shira camp
After breakfast, Climb through the huge heather and the fern, then the first ones huge seneçons until Shira Hut (3 880m). Overnight at the Shira campsite with sight on the West side of Kibo and the wide plateau of Shria.

Day 3 : Barranco camp
From the Shira Hut continue trekking to the east towards the lava tower (4 570m) called the sharks tooth. Shortly after the tower you come to a junction leading to the arrow glacier. Continue to Barranco camp campsite (3 965m) for overnight with some wonderful views for the top.

Day 4 : Barafu camp
In the morning an easy day continue trekking to the Barafu hut campsite (4540m) for overnight. The two peaks, Mawenzi and Kibo can be seen from this point.

Day 5 : The Summit Uhuru peak
Start the ascent towards midnight. After a good warm tea, the last part of the ascent begins with a relatively easy passage even if the slope is quickly abrupt. At the end of 6 hours of walking, in the lights of dawn, you arrive on the edge of the crater. Along the way, you touch the glaciers of Rebmann and Ratzel to reach then Stella Point (5 700m). One hour and a half of walking still separates you from the Uhuru peak dreamed (5 985m), on the roof of Africa.
7.30hrs walk
From there, you will come down directly to Mweka Hut
Day 6 : Back to Moshi
The day is spent descending to the Mweka gates, (5 hours), where you will be transferred to Moshi.
